Power Oregon's current priority: The Oregon Energy Policy Simulator
The Energy Policy Simulator for Oregon (Oregon EPS) will enable anyone to quantify the pollution and economic impacts of dozens of types of state emission policies.
As clean energy prices continue to drop, the Oregon EPS is ideal for optimizing policies that save many billions and cut toxic pollution even as we achieve GHG emissions goals.
The Energy Policy Simulator for the US is being used by the Biden administration to optimize clean-energy funding in the infrastructure bill.
The initial Oregon EPS has been completed in collaboration with Energy Innovation and the Northwest Economic Research Center. This version is ready for testing, for which we are seeking a few policy analysis experts fluent in Oregon energy and emissions planning.
